Emily Krudys is Of Counsel to the firm, serving as firm administrator, counselor, and legal researcher and writer. Previously, Ms. Krudys was associated with the Washington, D.C., office of the law firm of Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan. While at Sutherland, Asbill and Brennan, she practiced in the areas of antitrust and civil litigation. In her work in antitrust enforcement and litigation, she drafted merger analyses, contributed to Hart-Scott Rodino filings, participated in negotiations with the FTC and Justice Departments, counseled clients on criminal price-fixing charges, and addressed issues of tying arrangement, monopolization, and other restraints of trade. She was a contributor to Antitrust Law Developments (Third), Section of Antitrust Law, American Bar Association (1992), and served on the editorial board of Federal and State Price Discrimination Law, Section of Antitrust Law, American Bar Association (1991). Ms. Krudys also represented clients in civil litigation involving issues of unfair competition, securities, trademark infringement under the Lanham Act, and false advertising.
Ms. Krudys is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar (inactive), and the Texas State Bar (inactive). She earned her J. D. and B. A. (History) with honors from Baylor University. When not working with Mark at the firm, she is busy raising their two daughters and volunteering at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
